Make it frugal or splurge?

I'm all set for my Monday off, but here's the rub- my hairdresser doesn't work Mondays. So, I can't get my hair cut, which means I have to find something else to do. I have two options:

1. Make it frugal: stay home, watch a fun movie, take a bath, get a mask or something from CVS with the gift card I've been hanging on to.

2. Splurge: go to a day spa, get a real massage (something I've never done). Would that even be fun if I was by myself? It sounds really relaxing, but I'm also not the touchy type of person- will I hate it?

My instinct is one. Hmmm.

My husband travels a lot for work so I can always do any of the frugal stuff at home on nights when he is away. So I would vote for splurge! And yes it is fun even if you go by yourself!

You can do the splurge and just get the massage-- no lunch out or extra products or anything. Personally, if I'm getting a massage (or a pedicure, even) I'd rather be by myself so I can REALLY relax and not deal with anyone talking to me :). Maybe I'm antisocial....

Well...you will love the massage, even if you aren't a touchy feely person, it's just so great. I prefer getting them alone, and afterwards you are just kind of out of it for a while anyway (in a good way).
